The National Pediatric Cancer Foundation is dedicated to funding research to eliminate childhood cancer. Their focus is to find less toxic, more effective treatments through a unique collaborative research initiative called the Sunshine Project.
POEM Design contributes to this collaborative research model with 30 hospital partners and leading scientists. Since its inception, the NPCF has donated over $30 million to research and has funded over 28 project initiatives and POEM Design is proud to support them on an ongoing basis.
Canine Companions is leading the service dog industry so their clients and their dogs can live with greater independence. They provide service dogs to adults, children, and veterans with disabilities and facility dogs to professionals working in healthcare, criminal justice, and educational settings. Since their founding in 1975, their dogs and all follow-up services are provided at no cost to their clients.
Independence shouldn’t be limited to those who look or live a certain way. Disability reaches all races, classes, and backgrounds, and Canine Companions does too. Clients come to Canine Companions because of their reputation, the quality of our dogs, the experience of our training staff, and the desire to lead a life with greater independence. They are committed to providing services to all qualified clients and POEM Design is proud to support them in their efforts.

Based in Canton, Ohio, this compassionate organization was born from a deeply personal story of courage and loss, and now stands as a beacon of hope and support for families during their most challenging times.
Houston's Lift Off was established in memory of Houston, who, after being born prematurely, bravely fought for life for 4 1/2 months. January 2024 CHARITY NOMINATION WINNER
This January, we at POEM Design Co. are honored to highlight Beautiful Spirited Women (BSW) as our Charity of the Month. Founded by Crystal Clark-Chatman, BSW is an embodiment of empowerment, mentorship, and advocacy for girls and young women across the country.
Born from Crystal's personal experiences growing up in Memphis and her vision fueled by faith, BSW serves as a beacon of guidance for girls navigating life's complexities. This organization provides a platform where young women can candidly discuss challenges such as drug abuse, domestic violence, low self-esteem, and more, providing them with vital life skills for advancement in academics and the workforce.
BSW's mentorship program caters to girls aged 4-20, operating in twelve cities and prioritizing at-risk youth from low-income communities. The non-profit fills crucial roles in these young lives, sometimes even stepping in as the parental figures they lack, by pairing them with mentors who have walked similar paths.
Crystal and her dedicated team at BSW create safe spaces for girls to blossom, offering year-round support that includes workshops, activities, and open dialogues. The transformative power of the organization is evident in its growing network of inspired young women who are learning to believe in their worth and potential.
At POEM Design Co., we celebrate the remarkable strides made by Beautiful Spirited Women. We are moved by their passion and invite our audience to engage with and support BSW's mission. As we shine a spotlight on this organization, we acknowledge their critical role in nurturing the next generation of strong, spirited women.
